Katsu Sando - a Japanese Sandwich Experience (Vermont)
Referred to as “sando” in Japan, the sandwich has become an integral part of Japanese cuisine. The Katsu Sando is the iconic king of the Sando world. Imagine a perfectly fried, panko-crusted piece of chicken drenched in a salty, sweet, umami rich Katsu sauce, surrounded by soft and fluffy slices of Japanese Milk Bread. Join us for this introduction to modern Japanese comfort cooking. Students will watch a demonstration of how to make Japanese Milk bread, and then prepare and cook the components of the sandwich. Once complete, students will enjoy eating their creations while watching more demonstration and Q&A.
